but a social security number contains 9 digits from 0-9

that would make a total of around 1 billion possibilities.... (please tell me if im wrong... i havent done the number of possibilities since like i was 13...)
anyway continuing my question.... how the fuck can everybody in the world get a SSN if were 6.5 billion peeps ???? man im fucking confused !!!!!
fucking thinking weed LOL

wal mart has a class action lawsuit from customers that had their numbers stolen after they had their CC info stolen. someone sat outside and grabbed the info from the air. "Its out there all you need to know is how to catch it, I know how to catch it."~~Heat~

I am hoping someone will steal mine and maybe help my credit rating

Probably, im assuming china would have more digits in their ssn's though because of the 1 billion + people.

The maximum number of combinations for a 9 digit number is 9x10^8. 900,000,000. Fortunately there are not this many people in the United States and SSNs are only unique to the US.

lmao thats pretty good
Go to http://translate.google.com/ it automatically translates anything. If you copy and paste my Chinese symbols, and translate into English,
it says "China's social security number". I do not know how to speak Chinese. I do how to speak Spanish though.

Actually, max combination is 10^9 or 1 billion. And according to the gov, there have been assigned ~440 million ss numbers, with an average of 5.5 million being assigned each year... we have a ways to go... and yes, its only a US thing.

You can't have 0 as the first digit of a SSN can you?. 9*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10 = 9x10^8 or 900,000,000

/e never mind you can have a 0 at the begging.

It is a method used to build responsibility, makes people treat it like gold instead of a peice of paper with some number on it. But how often does someone ask to see if your card is laminated or not? I would just do it and stick it to the man!
