Socking top bud

Has any one tried socking the top bud in stead of topping it
I did it last timt to a afgoo plant it worked out good
Just put a cover loosely around the top bud for a few days blocking the light
The side branches catch on and grow like you topped it
Do this covering couple of times tell the slde branches catch up to the size of the middle bud then just grow as normal

If you block the light is assume it will stretch more not act to make surrounding branches grow more.

It’s still gonna grow. It’s gonna turn all light green whiteish and leaves/plus top are going to search for light. Stretching all over the place. Might as well too or super crop.

And personally I don’t believe you did this and it worked. I think your high and thought of some weird shit and thought you had something. Either or. Very interesting. Made my mind wonder.
