If you have time do a search on here for sog and you will come up with a wealth of info. I have to do the same homework since I will be trying it in a few months.

If you are going little to no veg time I would use 1 gal pots. It's what I'm trying out this go anyways! They are about 6" btw so you'd be looking at 8 pots long 3-4 pots deep. I'd probably go with 8x3 personally cuz it's just alot already!

Edit: I don't think your 400 is going to cover the full 4' width well enough, so maybe do 7 pots wide with roughly 3 inch gap on each end. Choo know what I'm getting at!

yes and thank you for the advice

i think im gonna only veg long enough to see that they are going to make it

so if i use 1 gallon pots im thinking that i could go 6 long and 2/3 deep with success is this a good idea to start with
also if i use the 2gal how many u think i cokd get in there im thinkin like 2 deep anfd bout 4/5 long

just tryin to figure this out before i start the grow

I'd try vegging just a week then seeing how the roots look at the end, increase from there or keep the same.

veg until about 6' tall then flip the lights. They will continue to grow / veg for 10-14 days until fowering starts to show. Go easy on the light at first as plants still very young, start high and lower gradually. Get some superthrive and calmag if you haven't already. Also a bud booster is essential IMHO for a sog to maximise yield.

A bloom booster isn't cheap but is worth the money IMO, makes all the difference. Have a go at DIY aero cloner, loads of tutorials on here and will give wicked results. That said, ya gonna need 18-30 clones at a time so I woud buy one £70 for a 35 site aero cloner. Make sure all ya clones are same age and size or ya gonna have a right mare with lighting levels.

Sorry mate, never used peat pelets so can't comment or advise. Aero cloner, qucik, easy and 100% success. Sorry can't be of further assistance.

I have cloned perfectly well in those pellets. Used with a powder under a dome and they were very good to go
