SoG Coco Watering Question

I need some advice on coco. I am deciding on which system to use, so gathering information.

If i do a SoG with freshly rooted clones in 1 litre pots using coco, how much water will they need per day? I know ambient temperature and other factors come into it but a rough guide would be handy. The plants will be under a 600w HPS, ambient temperature sits around 24-27 degrees C.

Thanks.

Smaller the pot the more watering they need. 1 litre is small man i use 6.5ltr and grow 12/12 from seed ive got a mini sog grow going now in coco and i water every other day, once they really get going i will water every day.

Yeah I know 1 litre is small but for a SoG it seems perfectly acceptable from what i have read. Just wondering how much water is needed per day, roughly, I know an exact amount isn't possible to give.

My other question is instead of watering each pot individually, can i put them in a tray and fill it, letting them absorb the water from bottom up?

You really want plenty of run off with coco so top feeding is the prefered method, bottom feeding might work but i wouldnt want to say for sure. Ive got 25 girls in my little SOG and hand watering aint fun lol so i know where your comming from.

Haha yeah hand watering this many can be tedious. Especially when i'm looking at a stadium style grow with 60+ plants. I've been trying to think of alternatives, i can't use a drip system as the strains finish at different times so would need multiple reservoirs for flushing.

If i can get an idea of the number of litres the plants would drink per day it would help me formulate a plan.

as mentioned, letting the plant wick up nutes is a bad idea. run-off is key to eliminate nute build-up. as for feeding, several small feeds per day is the way to go in coco. this is best accomplished with a rez/timer set-up. i hand water 2x a day when in flower. i "always" allow for a good 15-20% run-off. as for a rez/drip system during flushing. i think you could prob. get away with just hand watering/flushing when the time comes.
