Im rolling into week six, and my screen is very full there are some
popcorn nugs under the screen that my hps cant penetrate to.
Ive heard its better to trim them off to offer more energy to the main
colas.

Opinions?

that is true..becuase plants really only maintain so many leaves at one time..(depending on the strain) but being scrog you already are a small batch and being into flowering so long i would just say dont cut it...save the stress on the plant..just my opinion..

if you are 6 weeks i you are too late to do anything productive regarding pruning.
removal of the bottom 3rd of the plant should be done by the end of week 3...
checkout urbangrower.com for video demonstration of the pruning & flagging technique

do all of youtr trimmimg no later than 2 weeks in. after this i feel that it wont help but maybe hurt. prior trim off all popcorn buds and secondary branchs that are at the off bottom of your plant. takeing off these little producers will put all growth into your main, and give the whole plant top to bottom plenty off manmade sunshine......
