SOG with a SCOG? Cut the net?

What'sup- I have a bunch of plants, not a SOG (had 25 last time) but I've got 12-16 some are skinny,( might as well toss them correct?)

Any way how many plants can you do a SCROG in a 4x4 tent? Also what's a good hieght above buckets- I read 4 all the way to 18 inches.

Also do you cut net at harvest or try to cut each branch free? I never had heard about that aspect anywhere..

subbed. Im thinking of trying scrog next go round and I wondered the same thing.

Earlier this year I did a 33 multi-strain sog scrog in 1 gallon pots. It was a mess.

What do you mean by skinny plants? The net was about 8 or 10 inches above the pots on mine. I used one of those amazon "scrog" nets. It's more of a training net than an actual scrog screen. I just lift it up to reuse the net. As for cutting the screen or net, whichever is easier for you. I like to hang dry plants whole if I can, but nothing wrong with cutting the branches out either.

Nobody does 4x4 scrog? Never really saw max number, just shoot for 85% coverage from greenjeans.. I'm thinking 16 is too many, in 3 gallon bags.

Skilnny, A whisp of a main stalk, few branchs. Stunted I guess may be better term.

ps I made a 2"x2" 4x4 Screen.

said 16 is nuts 2 or 4 for a 4x4 is what I got out of it.

2 or 4 would be fine for a 4x4. It just depends on how long you want to veg.

The less plants, the better. It's just relative to how soon you want to harvest. A single plant 4x4 scrog is what works best for me

ok- I'm in no hurry, but I tend to waaay over veg. I've got a 125 gallon DWC Water fall w 3" pipes......grows like crazy-coke can roots LOL

How long to veg? It's 3 weeks in 3 gallon pots currently.
Hey and also can you mix tall and short (indica-sativa) in a scrog?

Are they fem seeds? Or do you need to cull the males too? Are you throwing all those plants in the DWC? What strains are you running?

I grow in soil, if I had 16 females in 3 gallon pots, I would maybe veg for 4 - 5 weeks after sprout.
Its definitely possible to grow short and tall plants together. When I ran 33 plants, the tall plants took up the space that the short plants couldn't fill. However, I had a wide range of genetics running; Deep Chunk and PCK for the most indica, and Haze for sativa, and other hybrids in between.

i scrog 2 plants over a 2'x4' screen. my screen is 16 inches above my buckets. i like plenty of air flow and room to work inside my 5x5, so I only flower the 2x4 area

i'm not sure a sea of green would really benefit from a screen of green. chop stick quarter zip plants are great, but i don't think they need spread out in a scrog.
