Sog

What kind of preparations do you have to do to your plant to grow a SOG or a SCROG and what is the differents? do you have to start with a small clone?

Sog- sea of green-typically many plants under a single canopy that you could use a screen or trellising to hold up.
Scrog- Screen of green- less plants under the same size canopy but with LST, Topping and weaving in wide under/through a screen.

I top my plant 2-3 inches below the trellis I use. After 1-2 weeks it grows through it and then during transition/early flower I weave the lateral branches through the screen.

sog means sea of green and scrog means screen of green. sog is more of a method of turn over. itsw when u have a couple of mother plants and every week you take clones and rotate the plants from growing to bloom so that every week you have a harvest. its based on many smaller harvest to make up for small plant size (typically you keep the plants small for faster turn over.) screen of green is a way of growing, its when u put up a screen horizontal across your grow tent, when your plants reach it, its will help to separate and control the canopy so that they can get as even as possible lighting across the whole canopy to help with yield. so no, no plant prep really, for sog just keep some mother plants and make a bunch of clones, and scrog you just let them grow and kinda work em with the screen ( by screen i mean its more like a fence or chicken wire)

The idea of SOG is that u have an even canopy of equal heights that look like, well, a Sea of Green. Clones are usually used for this as they grow identically and can be put into flower quicker (shorter) than seeds. You could easily put 16-25 clones under one light / 1 Sq M in 5 L pots. You must switch the lights to 12:12 by 25 cms ( espec is Sativa dominant) or they will be too tall.

As for the SCROG - just use bamboo sticks to start with. Manouverability of pots will be easier if u get into problems !!
