Soil and Hydro in same room?

With proper venting is it OK to do soil and hydro in the same room? Just worried about mildew and such...

From my first 2 Grows My Soil plants were fine but my Hydro plants had PM. Ive been told it can attract unwanted pest to one or the other. I cant say its a bad idea because i really dont know besides my PM i didnt have a problem.

i tried starting this way but then switched to soil just cuz it was a little easier for the scale op i had. but, i think that it may not be a good idea necessarily unless you are super good at super sterile. what kind of hydro system you plan on using?

Have a 6 bucket DWC system and a 4 by 4 flood system.
