Soil Cloning with Self Domes

5/5/11

Today is the 13th day since taking the cuttings. All were still green. I decided to carefully pull them out and see what was happening with the roots. Out of the 9 cuttings, only 2 started roots.

I think the problem may be the FFOF. Maybe too hot? Has anybody had problems with FFOF and cuttings?

I'm going to give it another shot with another soil.

Redi-Gro All purpose potting soil for indoor/outdoor.

FFOF is pretty hot for cuttings and seedlings, go for light warrior from fox farm for the little ones.
I had a problem w/ my seedlings in FFOF and now start w/ light warrior then transplant to OF.
Works great, no more burn and much faster seedling growth.
Sorry i dont work w/ many clones.

I'm an autoflower guy myself. FFOF works very good from seed to harvest on autos. At least for me. In fact, I have 3 Afgan Kush Ryder seeds I'm going to germ today.

The clones were just an experiment. For now, I'm putting any new clones on the back burner and will be watching the 2 that rooted to see what happens.

you can also look for MG seedling starter fairly cheap and it works all the time

I'm assuming the picture with the roots is a clone. How long was it from planting the cutting to the roots shown in the pic?

my strain takes anywhere from 17 to 21 days to have a good rooting structure ready for transplant i can get roots anywhere from 4 days up i use Mg seedling starter and make soil wet to the point of grabbing some in ur hand making a fist and some water droplits come out 90 percent of people that try cloneing fck it up by always messing with them just clone and leave in tray for like 4 days ( Walk away from them ) then start lightly misting once a day giving them about 5 - 10 mins of open air time keeping them still in dome up to 2 weeks
