ehh it's hard to say. The cold temps probably shocked the roots. You need to get a space heater or something, or else they won't grow in there. I have a tent in my attic, and I just keep a space heater inside. Without it, there's no chance they'll survive (unless you live somewhere warm).

how much would a space heater effect the electrical bill?. and would i need to keep it on all the time or just at night?
It won't make a huge difference in your electric bill. You will probably only need it at night unless it gets really cold in your growroom. Just watch the temps and adjust accordingly. ;)

I have bought a heated fan from lowes for like 20 bucks, so that way it kills two birds with one fan...lol
It provides circulation and heat to my space all in one. And i doubt it uses much power at all.
