Hello ppl!

My first attempt to grow indoors was going good till yesterday. The leaves looked very healthy, but today im a little worried because i see the leaves drooping and loosing symmetry. The planting medium is moist and they've been watered regularly, first few days with a tablespoon and then with half a cup of water. PH is at 6.5(both plants) temperature is pefect 25 degress C. The only factor I haven't been able to control is Humidity in the box, which stays at 46 percent. When the plants were younger i had them covered with transparent plastic bags but then removed the bags when the second set of true leaves emerged ( which was 3 days ago ).

The first two pictures show the plants 2 days ago. The ones following are from today - droopy plants.

For now im going to try and cover them with transparent plastic bags to see if the increased humidity helps!
Any advice from growers will be appreciated....

ps: I havent started feeding the plants yet, they've been given only plain water. I have available a water soluble 18-18-18Schultz and a 30-10-10 (only foliar) Not sure if Foliar feeding can be used as a primary source of feeding?

Cheers.

Hiya xzvburki, Half a cup? How Old are ya Ladies? in ml how much would you say was in that Cup?

Good way to check if Soil/Compost/Perlite mix is Wet

use your little finger at the edge of the Pot..insert about an Inch into the Mix..If bits of the mix are stuck to your finger when you remove then don't water for a few days..maybe nearly a wk...Just me but think you may have give em a bit too much water...

Have ya Pots got Drainage holes at bottom

What Type light you using and how far away from the Ladies?

Peace

I'm thinking too much water. They don't drink much at all when they are young like that and have enough nutrients for the first few weeks built into it naturally.

Personally I would stop watering and let the roots find water let soil dry up and stop spraying your leafs water when u dont feel wet soil.

About 100ml roughly. The soil is moist and yes it does stick to the fingers. They're about 10 days old since breaking soil.

Thanks for the help guys.
Now I'm 100% sure they've been over watered, I guessing indoor plants are very sensitive. I'm going to let them sit for another 24hrs and then check the progress.

After a 72hr dry period both my plants perked right back up and after fertilizing and watering the plants have new growth. The ww x sweettooth seems to be speeding up and getting greener by the day, but the Superbud is not impressive at all.

The ww x sweettooth has developed a few spots on the main fan leaves and now a few have appeared on the 3rd set of leaves, not quite sure what they are! Burn maybe? ( they are like 4 inches from the cfl and temp is 23 degrees C at 4 inches.

The Auto Superbud on the other hand doesn't look good. It is growing and the new growth seems fine but slow. The problem is with the main two fan leaves ( first set of leaves that emerged ) they look sick as hell and have completely yellowed! Please see

The White Widow Auto by Dinafem is born, so some good news!

ps: I switched from bottled water to tap water to fix Calcium def, if any. Then Flushed the plants and gave them mild ferts. They did seem to look better, but the spots remain the same!

i think the yellowing is because of small roots not being able to take enough nutrients.. make sure to let the cup dry out until it is nearly weightless before watering.
