Soil Mixture MG and Perlite

I just germinated a few seeds and put them in party cups in a soil mixture with 4 parts Miracle Grow Potting Soil to 3 parts Perlite. I'm wondering if anyone has any opinions on this ratio or combo.
 
I mix it with the dirt in my yard, and use potting soil that's not full of harsh chemicals, but if I had to use it, I'd go at least 2:1
