Hello RIU , this Is going to be my second grow. My first one was pathetic and just an experiment to see if I could actually grow something. This time, I've Gained some pointers and gained a lot of knowledge just by reading journals. What I want to know is, what kind of soil and nutes to use. I'm limited to products at lowes atm. I am growing 2 northern lights autos by Nirvana. I want to get the biggest yeild possible. I have 2x 6500k 105 watts. What nutes and soil should I use for my grow?

You should be able to get nutes online. I use FoxFarm tri-pack from an online source.
I stole this from an earlier thread for future reference ""General Organics is easy and forgiving. Get the Go Box.. Nute schedule on their site. start with 1/2"

I have no idea what soil is at Lowes. Why don't you check it out & offer some options for a recommendation?
You may have to part some different ingredients & mix you own!

hmm well everyone has there own nutes they go for some use fox farms, and flora and shit well i dont use non of these the soil im currently using is fox farm ocean forest and the nutes im using is called "sea grow 16-16-16" and i must say dude my plant Loves this fuckin shit and i never get nute burns with this nute too, my girl is 2 months and 2 weeks from seed and growing ROBUST as we speak, just a litlle tip ALWAYS start less to see how your plant reacts to it, REMEMBER less is always more. and once you get to know how much your plant needs of the nutes then go up from there, HAPPY growing!

Let me see if I can help you understand the differences. There is 2 ways of growing, Organic or synthetic.

organic=living soil, your trying to breed microbes and fungus, they in turn feed your plant. so, you want to feed the soil, not the plant. Feeds need to be organic materials to keep microbes alive.

synthetic= using chelating agents to break down nutrients to a usable form for the plant to uptake.

if growing organic, choose a good organic potting soil. synthetic, it really isn't going to matter. Peat moss or coco is a good choice.
