sure, as long as they are away from pines a bit. you said about 75'? I grow a few in the ground closer that that to my pines and they did just fine, just not directly under them.
not really, I have 10acres of pines and I utilize all of them for my plots, for they provide an excellent coverage from air patrol. accoring to info I received many, many moons ago, pine trees put of as much infar-red heat as pot plants do, so hard to detect from air. no I would not grow in soil up next to them as the acid will fucking kill em, but that's why I like buckets up close to them and they will be fine!
