soil turning green

i went out to check my plant today and i started to look around the pot its in. its not really a pot its big sunny delight bottle. so the bottle isnt clear but i could still see what color the soil is through the bottle. i noticed half of the side is all green. my dad said its just mildew...could it be harmful to the plant?

could be later on in the flowering stage you wouldn't wanna smoke bud with mildew

What you are looking at is mold and algae. You never want to grow in containers that expose the roots to light. also sounds like to much moisture. how often do you water?

its defintly to much exposure to light if u can see the roots its never a good thing
