Soil...

I have done a lot of research for plant growth and as eager as I am to go straight to hydroponics, I figure the best thing to do is take my time and learn the ropes.

So, I have everything pretty much figured out - Light, Chamber, CO2, etc... Just need to get the right soil.

Questions: I plan to use a nutrient formula water, do I need a specific type of soil for veg and bloom?

PLZ HELP EXPERIENCED GROWERS! What soil should I use for when I place seeds into it? I don't want soil less and hopefully I can just buy a basic top soil...

Thanks for answering and any input you can add!!!

anything with a ph from 6.5-7.0 should be fine. I use foxfarm's oceanforest with insane results.

Thanks for both of your responses. Just to be clear, this is undiluted soil right? I'm just buying the one type and not mixing it with anything?

Just buy ProMix and put it in a pot and you are good to go. No added fertilizers. It works. IT's been used by a lot of people and I can tell you it works well.

Water with Hydro nutes after the plants are over a month old.

What do you mean by undiluted ?

By undiluted I meant not mixed with other soils...

Okay, I am looking at this soil then - Potting Soil PREMIER PRO-MIX - Rona.ca

I can't find the exact type your mentioning, but I'm sure this will do.

I am thinking I will feed with just water and every couple of feeds I will dilute aspirin in the water 1.5aspirin to 2 gal. water.

After a couple of weeks to a month I will be feeding with a tonic I read about on here that you can buy on ebay - an organic form of super thrive...

I will take a pic when it's set up but I have to get my equipment first...
