Solar grow setup

I am planning on duplicating what stink bud did in his grow.

but im planning on using a solar power setup.

i was thinking making three 300 watt panels and running the power to a battery bank that will charge 5 days of energy and go out from one 1000w converter for the cloning and veg setup and a 3000w converter for the hps and climate controll

if anyone knows anything about solar panels even windmill generators input is greatly appreciated

that sounds badass. start a journal if you plan to build it.

I want to build a solar array but for some LED's. I want to talk with some friends that are engineers n shit to build a small solar panel, that can be used to power a 12vdc 1.5-2.0 amp powered LED arrays. They exist, i don't know just how powerful or useful they might be, but I just think about having a shed like this:

and like a bunch of 12vdc LED arrays, powered by a small solar panel.

no electricity from the power company being used or anything. I just think something like this would be soooo badass.... the self sufficiency of the idea itself makes me want to try it, should i ever get the money and space and time.... it would be badassss

Okay so after looking into what its gonna cost for a solar panel setup is 5 grand with this kit http://cgi.ebay.com/135-WATT-SOLAR-POWER-SYSTEM-9-PANEL-COMPLETE-DIY-KIT_W0QQitemZ390135531701QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5ad5e3c8b5

im gonna get 5 kits (675watts) so i rounded it up to 5 grand plus i will get a 30% tax incentive for renewable energy from the feds. that means every thousand i spend i get 300 back.

the thing im looking into is all the lights fans pumps ects electricity and amperage so i can figure out how im gonna wire it up. what kind of breakers, plugs and guage of wire would be optimal

would it be more cost affective to go cfl or hid? cfl will cost more to equal the amount of lumens a hid setup will put out right? i read that inverters and hid ballasts dont work well together. would that be for magnetic ballasts instead of digital.

so i working on my car and started looking at my hids i have on my car which are 6000k. so my question is how well would they work for growing? they are only 50 for a pair of 2 35 watt 12volt ballasts and lights varying from 3000k to 300000k. i think that this would be a very good idea for my solar setup
