I bought a Soler & Palau TD-100X In-line Exhaust Fan from Amazon and wired it up white is common and black is live and it's not working. It was an open box item on Amazon. Am I missing something obvious or do i need to return it? Can anyone chime in if they have one?
I cut the end off an extension cord(two wire).striped an inch off each end,split apart the wire covering around three inches more for flexibility.place one wire per hole.just make sure the connections are screwed down good.then plug it in.

Thanks for your input. I tried 2 different computer plug wires and they bouth didn't work so I sent it back to Amazon. I think something is defective. I bought another one, new this time rather than open box. hopefully it will work out.
