Somas' "Lavender" review.

Currently Lavender is widley popular in my area due to its purple color, dense resin coated nugs, and sweet purple blueberry-like taste. It goes for $4000-$4200 a lbs. around here.

If you are looking for a purple strain to wow your buddies or your Cannabis Club, than look no further. It is an eight week strain that really begins to develope a beautifull grape jelly purple color if given cold nights 2 weeks till harvest, I also put ice on top of the soil and let the rootzone get cold, this stunts the uptake of potassium/phosphorus causing the purple effect.
The leaves get almost black during the last few weeks, and the trichomes really show up against the dark purple calyxes.
It is a very bushy strain and grows quite leggy in the stretch phase. I top this strain, and supercrop( pinch and bend) the tops for the first 3 weeks into flower. Tomato cages are a big help here. This will keep the branches that are lower from falling short of the light.
At peak ripeness, it is a mellow calming stone, that is a complete pleasure smoking.
Advice to new growers of this strain: let it veg, let it veg. let it veg!
In Soil, or soiless coco, I'd go at least 24'' before flipping schedules.

It could be a better producer, short veg times are not good for this strain as it seems.

3.75 out of 4 stars.
