Hey everyone, I wanted to share some cool mutations I have on some plants this round with you guys, and maybe get some input as to whether these might just be genetics or caused by environmental factors.
They're not causing me any problems, the girls are doing amazing, but it's interesting to look at.
These plants are grown in a small tent under a 300w Chinese LED panel for a few weeks in 24/0 and then put outside in western europe.
So the first mutant I got is this Kush-n-Cheese Auto from Dinafem.
This one has two distinct mutations.
First off, its leaves are unlike any that I've seen, they started out normal but after the 3rd or 4th node up they have this weird triple junction going on where the fingers on either side of the middle one have separate junctions and the middle finger is alone, usually flopping below:
This one seems to be genetics since if you look closely on the YouTube video Dinafem has for this strain, the plants has the same mutant leaves. I find it weird that they don't market it as a feature kinda like the ducksfoot if it's stabilized.
Anyways, this same plant also did something else weird, it shot four branches out of its first node, I don't think I'm gonna lollipop this one haha:
Ok, this next one is a Violeta (Purple Malawi x PCK) from Ace seeds. On this one the first leaves have two fingers instead of one, and on the 2nd node one of the leave came out with 4 fingers instead of 3:
Not a mutation but she's showing purple hues at 2 weeks in veg, pretty cool (can't be due to night temperature I think since she has no nights, she's under 24h of light and the tent is more on the hot side, 25-28°C):
I gotta say this is one of the most vigorous girl I've grown so far, it has these huge leaves and is just developing much faster than the Dark Devil that sprouted the same day despite having a much smaller pot. Maybe that's thanks to the extra foliage from the extra fingers...
The next one is a Devil Cream Auto from Sweet Seeds that started out in the tent at the same time as the Violeta and has one of the two first leaves that came out with 2 fingers also:
Finally, not sure if this is another mutant but this 5 days old Sweet Trainwreck Auto from Sweet Seeds has this weird ass looking leave coming out, we'll see how it turns out:
