I'll do the best of both worlds, i'll leave em for a week no water, since they just got fed.......then if no change, i'll flush em and do the re-feed thing. Since my lights are too close....I will move it back a bit...I'll start at 18" and see what happens. I will also do the Epsom salt and milk thing as I don't have any CalMag. My next purchase will be a Ph testing kit. I also just got new 7gal buckets so i'll do the recan in a week. Sound about right?

Ya i tried searching for our water content here in Ontario but wasn't able to find it yet...the search continues
Yea, after you mix it to dilute the Epsom Salt. Then 1/2 to 1 tsp. You could add it to a mix of nutrrients, or add to a watering. It is Cal/Mag, and I look for a deficiency before using any. It depends on your tap water. Here in Montana there is a lot of limestone in the soil so all water has some. Hope that helps.

your lights are NOT too close. :wall:

espom salt and milk? wtf?

dude, you're letting everyone let you make this harder than it is. don't fall into the trap of thinking you HAVE to do more. most times LESS is better. you plants are green. the leaf color shows that they are getting what they need. they don't need salt or cal mag, they need more air to their roots. let them dry out and then don't water so much so often. that's all you have to do.

i'd hate to see things get worse. :weed:

these plants were started from seed. they are over 2 months old and about 2 feet tall. they are in 7 quart pots, which is under 2 gallons. they have been fed nothing but some 16-2-2. no PH testing, no salt, no cal-mag, no nothing. the lights are only inches away. it's as basic as it looks.

i'm not magic, i'm not lucky, i don't know any tricks, ... they just grow this way. :-P

Thanks dude, planning on changing the pots soon.....The tops of the plants look healthy enough but there is definitely a problem with the BC and DR Grinspoon. Even the new growth is turning yellow, and there are dark spots on the leaves, I didn't have any honeydew residue so maybe I didn't have the fids, I was sure though, they definetaly weren't mites, no webs and had those before. They washed off easy enough. Light should be sufficient, 600 watts covering 5 plants, I can't wait to see the cola's ;), By pruning do ya mean taking cuttings and cutting them back? I still haven't quite got the hang of what I should cut and what I should leave yet.....I appreciate your help! Thanks Dude!

I think since ur plants are so far along you should only prune lightly. No more than 6" and take those cuttings from side shoots. The top colas are too far along....or you can prune them tops back about 6" and use them for clones. This pruning and repotting tells the plant it's time to make new growth and with 12 on and 12 off THERE WILL BE LESS STRESS ON NEW GROWTH. SO THEY SHOULD GREEN UP, OK? Cuttings for clones... strip off the lower fan leaves, dip into rooting gel (I like the gel the best, it stays on the cutting better than a dip) and root into a somewhat sterile peat/lite mix. If you can mix peat and perlite it's cheaper, but you gotta get the percentages right. Better to buy a premixed high quality brand Potting mix..Pro Mix is good. Miracle grow is good. It has nutes that you don't need yet but it won't hurt the cuttings. It's just a good mix that I'm framiliar with. The cuttings need high humidity so create a small dome or greenhouse like effect over them with whatever you have around the house. If the potting mix was saturated just b4 you planted you won't need to water again for a few days...depending on light....DON'T STRESS OUT ROOTED CUTTINGS. Lower light...floro is good...nothing over 100-125 watts...if you have to put them under that HPS you have shade them somehow from direct light and put a heating mat (used for germination) under the cuttings. That keeps the soil about 70 degrees F. Your 600 HPS was fine untill you let the plants get too big. Now the plants are in pots that are too small....the bottoms are not getting adequte light. Your plants are tired of growing and want to flower now. So put some into larger 7-9gal pots and cut the light to 12/12. Less light = less stress. The tops should green up in a few weeks. Water,Water Fert. in that order every time you water. So only fert every 3rd watering, mmmk?
And heres a little thing I want you to read about pruning. Follow the link. Hit me back any time. I'm especially interested in your BC God. I'm growing it myself now. So keep me posted my young friend. Dan

36 inches? are you serious? where did you come up with 36 inches?
should be no more than 18 or so on a 600. :)

low humidity is fine, as long as they get watered enough. which they do.

looks OVER watered to me. simply stop watering for a week and see if it helps. bongsmilie

i have NEVER checked my PH.
it's a soil grow.
I agree there too much is blamed on ph especially in soil and it is so very rare a problem in soil...I don't think it is ph at all.... according to what he just stated then it is probably to much salts if he really waits on the droop to water...

And legal use the weight of the pot to determine the time to water..it is fool proof once you learn the weight of wet and the really light weight of dry...not good for the plants osmotic pressures to let it get too dry...throws everything outta whack like when we are too dry and it fucks up our electrolytes and we get cramps...from staying up days on meth:fire: (ahh those were the days...NOT!!)

Great idea as fdd stated sometimes the best thing is to do nothing....this has saved my plants many times early on...leaving them alone...lol

So go ahead and wait til the pots are very light and see if they spring back....cause they just might surprise you

Namaste'

if you are using regular tap and theres lotsa limestone there then your cal mag is probably fine

Hey guys, I don't wanna start a fight between you guys, i respect all your opinions, just trying to make the girls better :-P

I tool some shots of the root balls as I transplanted them last night. They are looking a bit better, although that may just be because I trimmed all the yellow lol. Here's some pics, I also took some clones and am doin them Riddle style in soil.

Good point I really didn't think about it like that.....makes perfect sense though.....i do wait til the droop.....I know the wight of my buckets wet vs dry.....I just thought it was better to let it dry out and then give em a good soak......I won't do that anymore.......I trimmed back some of the leaves and re-potted them.....I said fuck it to mothering these ones and sent them into flower and popped a couple new beans....they actually look better already! amazing, no watering yet though!
