hi guys
i am into my second week of 12/12 and my leaves are being chewed again, i have never seen any indication of any pests or mites. there is a pic below of the sort of thing i am seeing, the pic is from my veg box but they are also in my flowering area now aswell.

its not nutes or water on leaves causing burns so i guess it must be some insect, the only thing i have seen is 2 tiny peices of what could be called thread, like spders web but stronger and thicker, also i keep thinking i see bits of stuff flying but it could be just me seeing dust flying.
i have already used bug clear and tonight i have soaked the whole room and plants (literally) with a nice mix of neem oil in warm water.
if that does not work is there any other sure fire way of killing whatever it is thats doing this. my last grow had no such problems but i used a different soil this time so i think thats where they got in (lesson learned!)
+rep for anyone that can help and please i dont have the money to by a machine to hang in the tent to burn the shiiters although burning them would be nice!

I would say hit them with the neem once a week for two weeks. The neem coats the leaves and kills and eggs so it may take a week or so for it to clear up. You hit the tops and bottom right?

yes i tilted the plants on there side to get the underneath of the leaves, i made sure all the plants top and bottom coated then did the soil, the floor the ceiling, you name it and i sprayed it. its just so annoying when you cant see whats doing the damage. no matter how hard i look i cant see any invaders!

thanks djteereks

i just gave one of the plants a watering and the soil came to life, there were these little white crawling things that hopped from one bit of soil to another, only about a mil long and i just crushed as many as i could, the leaves dont seem to have been eaten too much last night. i dont think its a caterpillar cos i would have seen it by now but thanks for input.
anyone know are these mites or something else, the leaves look really nice after adding the neem oil so ill give them another blast.
thanks for any advice

I had a caterpillar problem for a while, but that came with moths too. If you dont have moths, then you prolly dont have to worry about a caterpillar. Though those little bitches are hard to find. It sounds like you have fungus gnats tho. I would sprayt with some dont bug me, or any pyrethum spray works, put out yellow sticky traps and break up some mosquito dunks into the top layer of your soil. Its like dropping an atom bomb on the gnats.spray every 3 days or so. should cure it up in about a week or so.

thanks for the advice, i just dont want it getting out of hand because i have 5 plants flowering, 5 seedlings and 4 in veg so i dont want it getting out of hand although the little gets seem to have spurts of eating and now they are visible they are getting worse. i already tried some bug stuff called bug clear but the main ingredient wasnt pyrethum it was some bifenthrim, is that stuff no good?
ill get some of the sticky stuff if i can and get some pyrethum spray, thanks for the advice.
how long will it take to get rid of all the blighters or is that just wishful thinking, as soon as the grows are finished ill be out with the bleach and disenfect everything top to bottom.

like I said about a week or two. Just watch overwatering, theyre attracted to the moisture in the soil. Make sure you get mosquito dunks too. It will kill all the larvae in the soil. and yeah, make sure its pyrethum.

thanks for that, i was just reading it may be thrips larvae because the fungus gnats dont eat leaves but everything you said kills them aswell. thanks again for your advice and ill get the stuf tomorrow.
thanks again
+rep to all who helped

a natural-ish way of killing a few different types of crawlers.....put a few fags out in a cup of water and spray the water&ash on the leaves stem and soil(particularly around the stem).

piece.
