Some help with first grow ?

Hey everyone ,
I just germinated some dank bag seeds i found and i germinated two seeds in a paper towel on 1/11/11. I have one sprouted seedling and i put it in a small container on my window sill, with basic soil and i have water soluble miracle grow , its blue. Now before you call me a noob for the window sill placement, it wont be suspicious until mid veg or flowering , and by then ill move it outdoors. Any advice ? How long until my sprouted seeds , come above surface ? Also when will the two plants start smelling noticeably ? Like a week number range? Thanks in advance.

it depends on the strain for smell. And also if you have some seeds that came in your bag weed it is a good chance they will be hermies. The only hope you have is that there was a male plant somewhere near the grow and that polinated your bud you bought. Most of the time if you get seeds that means that the grower had a hemi in his grow room and that polinated the bud you are now smoking. Hermi pollen will pass down the hermi trate to the bean you are growing now so just keep that in mind when your plant starts to flower.

how much light does your window geT? if your not getting that much light in the day it wont sprout at all so thats a pretty big factor

if you dont get a good amount of light and some air movin when it does pop up ur plant will look like a string bean.. it will probably lay down and be real weak. but if all is good it should take about 4 to 6 days after germin the bean

I get great light in my window and im just worried about people looking in the window or the smell overpowering the house. Im on the second floor so its not as easily seen from the ground. Thanks for the help everyone

light does not matter until the plant actually sprouts... which could take up to a week or 2 usally if i dont see anything after a week i start over, light isnt really your issue at this point i would ask is whats the temp in the room where the plant is?

Its around 65 to 67F , like i said, this is New York.

i dont really get it. if you grow them on your windowsill until it's warm enough outside, they will be pretty hefty by the time you move them. And they won't start flower until late in the year. Won't you end up with 10 foot plants?

I'd suggest using a 2 CFL 23 watts bulbs along with putting in windowsill. When it gets dark put them under the lights until the light cycle outside is longer. It's too early in the season to just use the sun.
