You being from Illinois which is considered the mid-west i wouldn't put anything outside until May 19th. That's just playing it safe.

actually frost date for IL is 4/20 i think :) so mid april should be just fine, im unfamiliar with the flowering when its outside though, i know indoors its just 8-12 weeks, about when are the plants ready when theyre outside?

Well that all depends on the strain. But for anything outdoor most strains well be ready September or October. Strains like all the "Earlys" and Top 44 usually can get the cut at around 6-7 weeks.

ahhh sweet ok, even though you cant see em without the leaves, the green from the brush would make a damn thick wall so im just happy to know they wont still be around when the leaves fall, i was gunna dig a good size hole and line it with plastic, and mix in soil moist into the soil for lotsa water retention, will i be ok just visiting them once a month? i dont live around where im gunna plant em during the summer so theyre gunna have to depend on the rain

When you need to visit is going to depend on weather & rain,i wouldnt go over 2 weeks without looking at them unless your getting a fair amount of rain, when its really hot & dry once a week minimum.
