Some simple questions about seeds, watering and cloning. Please take a look.

Hi there,

I am a newbie. And I've been browsing the forum for two days. But I still have some questions. Please answer as much as you can. I would really appreciate it.


1-) What is the first thing I should do with my seed? Should I put it in water etc. etc.

2-) How should I position the seed for the first time? Which side should look up, which side should look down etc. etc.

3-) Is rockwood is a "must"? Can't I just use soil for my seed?

4-) When should I start to use lights?

5-)How often should I water the plant?

7-) Do I have to use CO2? I will only grow 4 or 5 seeds..

8-) Do I have to use exhaust?

9-) Should I start with 16/8 and few weeks later 12/12?

10-) Sorry for this question bu what exactly is flowering? What is its difference with just growing it?

11-) Can I start with just 1 seed and later, when it is grown, clone 4-5 different plants from it?

12-) I am thinking to start with "Northern Light". What do you think? Is it a good start?

Dont mean to be rude but you need to do a lot more reading on this site. ALL of the these questions are answered in the different forums, I suggest you start in the Newibe Central. That'll get you goin in the right direction.

1..put your seed in a glass of water for 24 hours, than between two wet paper towels to germ it
2. once it germs, taproot up in your soil, about a 1/4 inch down
3. no, rockwool is not a must, just use good soil
4. use lights once it pops out of the soil
5. when the top inch or so of your soil gets dry
6.
7. no need for co2
8.
9. start with 18/6 and when your ready to flower, go to 12/12
10. flowering mj is when you switch the lights to 12/12, this makes the plant think it is fall, and forces her to flower

12. northern lights is a great plant for newb's

Well, to be honest, you may be right.

I have the full knowledge about which light to use, how to get a water to ph6 or how to clone.

But, I don't know the most basic things.. :)

I will be looking around for a long time..

By the way, are you really Turkish?

put it in water of paper towel wet in a zip lock.
just put it in the soil about 1 or 2 inches once the root sprouted wool rock is really for hydro it can be used for soil but just throw it in the soil
use the light as soon as she pops or as soon as you plant.
water till you get 10% run off out the bottom every 2 3 day or when it dries out
you don't need co2 but it helps and will get you a larger yield
exhaust is good to help maintain heat
i started with 20/4
and yes you can start with one but make sure its a fem seed
and nl is a good starter strain

You'll get the hang of it. I just completed my first grow using everything I've learned from this site and I did a damn good job if I do say so myself! Just keep researching and you will be growin some awesome bud!

you should look into buying a book (the cannabis grow bible by greg Green is a good read)
But there are lots of books out there ... just read read read. and if u know anyone that can help u then ask questions
