Somebody please tell me the name of this weed

Hopefully this looks familiar to some of you. This is easily the best bud I've ever smoked in my life but I can't remember it's name and neither can my friends (I guess the weed was so good we just completely forgot). For some reason I keep thinking blue dream or something like that. The purple and green buds are so damn pretty... :eyesmoke::bigjoint:

Unfortunately, there is no possible way any human being can definitively identify a strain based solely on a picture of a few dried buds.

On the other hand, I think you already have your answer.

If you think what you have is "blue dream" than its probably 99% likely that that is, in fact, what you have.

Blue dream is a "clone only" strain supposedly derived from two famous, award winning, and world-class parent strains, each bred by famous breeders: Mr. Nice Super Silver Haze, and the original DJ Short Blueberry.

I've never had the pleasure, but reportedly Blue Dream is just absolutely awesome in terms of potency, flavor, and quality of high. That's subjective, of course, but lots of people DO think this is the "best strain ever", so that part of your description fits.

"Blue dream" is also one of those strains that can turn purple, so your picture fits too.

Dude, that could be ANY purple strain. There 100's of strain possibilities. Identifying that would be like identifying someones fingerprint without using a computer database.

I dunno. It doesn't really look like Blue Dream to me. Also, blue dream is Santa Cruz Haze (NOT SSH) x Blueberry.

Not every "blue dream" or "purple kush" is going to taste, smell, Feel the same, There are thousands of phenotypes of the same seed, even with stable breeding.

There is no way in hell anyone can tell you exactly what it is, except the grower. I don't even think a machine could tell you the strain name

It looks dank anyways. lol

really? there must be 50,000 differently named strains out there and another 1000 a week probably get renamed. just call it marijuana, nobody could possibly answer such a silly question. that ranks up there with how much will i yield.

How a bud looks is highly dependent on how its grown. Specifically bud shape/density can be affected by both lighting and nutes, and bud color by temperature. Like many, Blue dream only turns blue (purple) if grown in cold temps.

The point is, any strain could look a bit different depending on how its grown.

You're right that one of the parents of BD is supposedly "Santa Cruz haze", though I think like a lot of these name strains, the truth of which one is a bit "hazy".
I've seen the Santa Cruz haze itself listed as both a select silver haze pheno, and a super silver haze pheno.

I agree. However I still stand by my previous comment that it doesn't look like BD to me.

My thoughts - growing Clone only Blue Dream for 3 years now...
