my dad has a halogen construction light. can i replace the halogen bulb with a hps or does it require its own lamp?
someone answer this damn question

those are two completely different lights so they need there own lamp. It shud say on the lamp to only use a certian tupe of blub with a certian type of lamp.

Next time instead of demanding an answer try searching the forum, this has probably been asked a billion times.
If you dont know that you cant use an HPS bulb in a halogen lamp then you need to do a LOT more research on lighting and types of lighting.
HPS bulbs require a ballast assembly with an ignitor to fire the bulb up. Halogen is so incredibly different that it would be imposible to combine the 2.
And halogen on its own is absolutely useless and should not be used to grow.
