Ok, I germinated my seeds with paper towels and when the little white root thing came out of the seed I put 2 seeds each in three 4 inch pots. these are only mid-grade seeds from regular mid grade pot. (1st time gimme a break) I sat the pots on top of a homemade box with water beneath. I have a 100 watt cfl shining on the plants . I will be leaving for 4 days straight, can i leave the lamp on without burning the place up? I used miracle grow veggie soil also. please help with any advice i am almost clueless.

Shaq Kobe and Superhead thats hilarious.

When say 100w do you mean 100 actual watts or equivalent?

either way Im pretty sure you're not going to burn the place up.:fire:
How deep did you plant them?

I planted them about 1/4 inch from the top.. The lights are sylvania 100watt and it says only uses 23 watts of power on the package, is that right?

That is a 23w cfl that puts out the same amount of light as a 100w incandesant

Yea, you are going to need that bulb ALOT closer to them after they sprout, and quite a bit more light is going to be required. check this thread for a good cheap starting point. https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/172180-first-grow-pics.html

It will have to do. Im not sure how you are going to cover 3 pots, but they should be fine.:leaf:
they will probably stretch a bit but you can just bury them when you get back.:bigjoint:
