Something grows in the fertilizer cap

Hi guys, Opening one of the bottles of advanced nutrient fertilizer yesterday I noticed that there was some kind of mold or at least something greenish similar to mold growing inside the cap. The fertilizer was purchased less than 6 months ago.. Can I use it safely? I poured the product into a glass to see if I noticed any more mold or if the product had changed over time and other than a few lumps it does not seem to have changed.
The product in question is Bud Factor X
Thanks in advance

I've got a little 500ml jug of it but mine's about 5 years old now so probably won't use the last of it. It has some black looking crud on the cap too but not a lot.

X has a lot of organics in other than just some magnesium nitrate like some uninformed people would have you believe so it's best to keep that somewhere cool like a fridge for longer shelf life. I got mine as a free sample and after using it on a few plants would not ever buy it for regular use as I didn't see any real difference and that stuff isn't cheap.

I do use the Big Bud along with the 3-part base as it made a big difference when I tried that shortly after it came out and it's got better with tweaking over the years. I get the powdered one as it has a much longer shelf life than the liquid version has.

Other than that I don't use any of the other AN supplements. Waste of money tho I haven't tried them all and never will. OverDrive was no use either.

If you have the Big Bud try using a half dose a week before flipping to flower and the other half at the flip. Then just half doses until the end of week 5. You should boost up the Bloom portion a week before the flip too. The plants feed really heavy during the stretch so boost feed by 25% or more then after the stretch I cut out the Grow and feed Lucas Formula style using 1ml of Micro to every 2ml of Bloom at ppm levels about the same as the late veg stage as demand slows after the stretch. In late flower add some Epsom Salts for more Mg and S and I also add a bit of extra K but no more P or N. Lower leaves should be yellowing some the last 2 or 3 weeks IMO then I know my buds aren't overloaded with nutes if the plant is robbing nutes from the older leaves. As long as everything else is happy the old leaves don't matter.

I'm mainly using organics like Gaia Green stuff in ProMix HP these days but may run some AN in plain ProMix just to make life easier for some growing. Might even get back into DWC for some yields.

:peace:
