There is this stuff you get at Home Depot you put in peanut butter which make roof rats and other pests crazy thirsty so they exit, bloat and die outside your home. My handyman did it for me as roof rats are very common here in Florgia my neighbor next door had them..i saw an extermination truck in her drive and next thing you know it spread..you don't want one to die in your wall IMO.And yes there is a tree that has foliage just about touching our roof. Not a lot, but for sure an animal could go from tree to roof.
Ahhh my CCTV cameras are for that I guess just high tech white flour LOL...he'd already set 'em up. The "white flour!" is for added accuracy and a well needed "ah-ha! you little fckrs!"
.....snip.......
...nice touch! You must have been up against some of these:Ahhh my CCTV cameras are for that I guess just high tech white flour LOL
An Edguy song with a Berserk background on a ghost rodent thread! Not sure where this should go so i'm putting it in toke n talk.
Last night I heard some scratching in my attic around 2-3am. Sounded like something small, my guess is mice. I have to clear everything from my closet to get to the only access panel. I went up today to look around but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Nothing looks chewed up, no droppings anywhere, no other signs of animals to my untrained eye.
I put some mouse snap traps up there. Not sure what else I should do. I want to get this resolved asap so I can put my shelves back in and get use of my closet again.
I'm afraid to hire an exterminator because i'm not sure I can keep him local to the attic only. How do I explain to him that he can do his job and check for entry points etc, but he cannot go in the basement?
Also i'm pretty sure it is NOT spooks.

you have a ghost. After checking the trees with our roof again i'm not so sure an animal could get onto our roof. The trees leaves at the closest point are about 8 feet away. I suppose a small animal or a squirrel might be able to make the leap, but a raccoon would weigh down the branches so much that it would be no where near our roof.
I inspected the attic but I see no signs of any animals at all. The attic is also tiny and cramped and I am unable to walk around and inspect everything up close or inspect for entry points. I assume it was maybe a bird or something that accidentally got in and was trying to get out. I have not heard anything since that one night. I have sealed it back up and i'm not going to worry about it unless I hear something again.
reminds me of the songPfff. I aint fraid of no ghosts.
