Yeeeeaaaaahhh.... I've used the main panel alone in this tent before with fantastic results, as you've seen.

My goal is to have 0% popcorn bud. I want just as much light at the bottom of the plant as the top! :D
This will end the defoliation dispute... Don't defoliate, add more side lights. Brilliant! lol

Exactly. Defoliation be damned!

Although, I will still cut off tiny bud sites to promote the growth of the larger ones. It's not going to be a 'hack the bottom 2/3 of the plant off so the growth goes to the top' kind of grow. :D

Oh and my grow area is 36" x 42" with all the lights and junk in there! That's 10.5sq/ft (It's actually a little bigger than that, but it's a funny shape so I rounded down).

So, I'm actually at appox 79W per sq/ft. :D

You've inspired me. I'm going to get a 4 bulb t5 to supplement my LED. It is around $170, do you think that is a good price for whatever the added benefit would be?

I am doing 12/12 from seed from now on in an attempt to keep the plants small. Small plants plus insane side lighting should give me the maximum yield I can get from my little buggers! When one gets the chop another will get sprouted! :D

The mammoth plants I had last time took too long to grow, and the canopy was so dense it was difficult to get light to the bottoms. More light, and less canopy should fix that problem.
Glad u are trying 12/12 from seed!! u probably want to sprout your next seed about 2 weeks prior to harvest ... saves a lot of time I mean I wouldnt be worry about getting busted, just start your seedlings at a friend's house or something but u gotta keep it rolling when doing 12/12 fs

lol I can't wait to see what u can get, with the right strain I bet you could reach 10 oz!!

I know with Flourotubes you need to have them really close, as long as you have the space to use it it should work great!

Well, I had 4 more lovely ladies join the party today!

They all germed in 24 hours, and the tap roots were HUGE! A great sigh of relief!
