I understand that you're not supposed to use nutes in the first few weeks of seeding... Is molasses included? My plants are like 15 days old, can I start using it now??

Also is there a specific brand I should get?

i mean it wont harm, but just use it for flower, your right about the nutes for seedling, they have everything they need already

Only during flowering

grandmas unsulphered brand is the best, but its expenseive. Any unsulphered molasses will do. will do.

The problem is that by radically boosting the bacteria in the soil, which you will do by adding carbohydrates to the soil, is that the bacteria will then start competing with the plant for nutrients causing a nutrient lock up. Also, the sugars will throw the osmotic pressure in the root zone off further making it difficult for the plants to take up nutrients.

Research has shown that adding carbos to the soil is an extremely inefficient process, on the order of 0.6%. If you want to boost the sugar level in your plant efficiently, raise the CO2 levels.

This is a controversial subject because there's no research backing the claims of molasses beyond a paper put out by a lobbyist group for the sugar cane industry. Anecdotes, BTW, should not be confused with evidence.

its the main ingredient most "super plant tonics" and "carb boosts"
but raising co2 levels isnt a bad idea, i use a ghetto sugarwater yeast setup

and it obviously works fine because i do it and so do half the other people on this sight with great results :clap:

i think what he is saying is that if their are no living organizms in your soil to break down the mole ass then its just nasty in your soil
