We really do have fantastic examples of people who have wisdom that can lead us in the right direction. Both historical figures like Ghandi and people still living such as the Dhali Lama. What Ghandi accomplished in India was truly amazing it makes you wonder what the world would be like if he was not asassinated.

Lead the path of radical acceptance . . . . Because you see acceptance is truly a radical attitude. Ideals such as non-violence are amazing but still contain the same short comings as their violent counterparts.

Radical acceptance means knowledge and wisdom gained through experience and total acceptance of what is percieved as both "good" and "bad". This is the true path to freedom and peace. "The Narrow Gate to Heaven, lies here and now".

The new American revolution will begin with the individual.:joint:

I hope that happens soon!
I know at least 10 ppl who lost their jobs this week because of the economic situation in the U.S, and we live in canada. And these 10 are just the ones I know out around 200 that met the same fate this week. I lost my job at the same company not long after 911. I'm glad I'm currently working on the pipeline, lots of work going on there!

A good read is the book "The art of Happiness" by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Howard C. Culter. It opened my eyes allot and I think made me a better person.

Gee how did the world ever manage to survive prior to the creation of the "stock market"?!!!!
Community something that is noticeably absent in the United States . . . do you know your neighbors? Look at countries like Cuba, facing US embargos meant to "drive" Castro out (46yrs later he is still in power). Their answer to the extreme economic downturn and industrial collapse resulted in a response in small communities. People began farming locally and organically, people started to ride bikes and conserve energy as well. Cuba has come a long way since the collapse of the Soviet Union. I don't advocate their form of government but the people serve as an example of what community action can accomplish.

A competitive rather than cooperative environment is ultimately destructive.

Hahah very true. We had 3+ inspectors /bosses/foremen having a grade school pecker contest today and thousands of dollars was wasted and nothing got done. All we had to do was dig a fricken trench!

The truth is not always funny shit. That was just an example of what you were saying on relatively small scale. I just happen to have a shitty day because of those ppl being competitive rather than being co-operative.

I guess that anthrax powder mailed around the country post 9/11 wasn't a terrorist attack after all. Shew that's a load of my mind.
Yes it was a terrorist attack if you use the correct definition. Not the one the government want to use. They use it as a label for anyone that does not agree with them when in fact it is a fighting style used by groups or individuals to bring about change of some sort, this change may be seen as good or bad depending on the side you are on. The term given to a group of people may also change with time. For example Minuteman and Sons of Liberty where considered terrorists by the British.

Quote:
The term "terrorism" comes from Latin terrere, "to frighten" via the French word terrorisme,[9] which is often associated with the regime de la terreur, the Reign of Terror of the revolutionary government in France from 1793 to 1794.

May have been some shaky things goin on before 96, who knows,~LOL~. That was a long time ago.
