Sour Diesel, first Soil grow

Hey everyone, I just got 8 Sour Diesel clones that i am doing for my first soil grow. I am usually a hydro man but i felt like trying something different this time.

Im using Fox farm Trio of nutes (Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom) and Fox Farm Ocean forest soil mixed with perilite.

If anyone has some tips for Sour D, or with using the fox farm nutes and soil im open to listen. Thanks! here are some pics ( the goofy one in the middle is a g13 that wasn't doing to well in my hydro so i threw it in some dirt and its bouncing back)

Also, those pics were taken on saturday and the plants have grown a lot in those 6 days. I plan on topping them in the next couple days and then put them into flower soon after. Ill get some more updated pics up as soon as im not lazy to take some pictures.

wow man looking good....i just harvested a sour d and it was the best strain ive had in a long time for sure.....btw did you get those clones at a so cal clinic ???

Nice Plants! I use Fox Farm as well. I spoke to a few people over at FF and they all pretty much said you can use Big Bloom from start to finish whether they are clones or seedlings and Big Bloom will not burn the plants at all. With Big Bloom you can use the amont they give on their feeding charts. They have feeding charts for soil and hydro on their website. Good Luck

yeah, the first feeding i was only doing 1/4 tablespoon of big bloom per gallon, and the last feeding i gave them 1/2 tablespoon a gal, they are loving it and very healthy, i will probably bump it up to a whole tablespoon per gal next feed or maybe just 3/4. I just want them to stay healthy and have good strong growth. I plan on topping them tomorrow so i should aslo take some pics of before and after that i will ad on here.

check out my grow journal (link in sig)...growing Sour Diesel and i have one G13 as well...also using Fox Farms, but using Happy Frog Soil instead of Ocean Forrest

best tip i could give for Sour D is to let them flower their full 10 weeks...the 2 extra weeks suck but they explode during weeks 7-10...next time (or if you can transfer) i'd go with white buckets/containers (they reflect light back up to the plant better instead of absorbing like dark colors will)

soil tip: its easy to over water your first time with soil...pick up your container when its dry and remember the approximate weight...after you water, wait till your container weighs the about the same as it did dry before you water again...

maybe get some circular LST going...

yeah i have a notebook that i keep track of all my feeding schedules, everyday i pretty much write down in it what i have done with all my plants, it is easy to forget when i got a few different things going on. I have some G13's also in a hydro setup that have been flowering for 1 week now that look great.

as far as overwatering goes, im definetly making sure i dont do that, ive been watering every 3-4 days with ph about 6.3-6.5. Good call on the color of the pots though, i never really thought of that.
