I like sour d. I'm growing it now. Mb they just had bad genetics or sloppy genetics? Oh and there's nutting wrong with the trim. Everybody's a friggin critic.

Could be. People like to misrepresent their strains quite often. Sour D doesn't seem to be as popular on the west coast as it is on the east coast, I don't see often at Medical Dispensaries very often at all. But hear the east coasters talking about it all the time.

Got me about an oz of this just blazed one now.. thing about this strain is the buds dont crumble easily in a grinder or in your hands.. have to pick the buds apart and you get less smoke per gram.. a piece annoying but its all worth it as its a slow burner, thick smoke and stinky strain!
The trimmings left on mine are to a similar level maybe its a tought job trimming sour d buds? lol the leaves are putting me off to be honest.

i personally love me sum good sour d, but at the same rate, i can see how it's not some peoples cup of tea for sure.. the diesely, fuely taste i find to be an either love it or hate it type of thing with not too many people lying in between..
i for one am on the love it side, and the smoke is usually pretty potent and more on the sativa side of things which is another benefit in my book..

I feel the taste was plain. Deff different... the high just blew. The whole time i just felt like groggy and hazy. I had no idea what was going on. Felt like a benzo really. Just my 2¢

Happened on the way to curing with my last harvest. It's still potent, the smoke just kinda tastes peppery. It needs more curing.

dont think sour d is suposed to make u feel like that. its the exact opisite of groggy. sour d make u feel like handaling the world washing your car, cleaning up dog shit, playing golf, cleaning the house, yelling at the old lady, u know stuff like that.

Weird. Maybe is wasn't really sour d? Sour Diesel (from what I've seen/smoked/read) is a pretty high percentage sativa. Always leaves my head soaring, like exact polar opposite of groggy. That's what I hate about "big name" genetics. Dealers always use the names to sell their shit product. Everything around here is kush, sour diesel, etc etc. When it's really just local genetics that are horrible (unless you have the right dealer).

I am an absolute connoisseur when it comes to sour diesel and NYC diesel and i actually have a cross of the two 1 week from harvest. 1 day before week five i trimmed some bottom nugs off for better top production. Smoked that shit and wow 
i didnt even realize that such pre-me weed can get you so ripped. More ripped than the shit from dealers. I dont believe this guys nug is true diesel it hardly looks remotely similair to all of the diesel i have had (alot) like i said im real huge on this strain. If your looking for a true diesel Go with [seedism seeds Diesel] which is a cross of NYC Diesel x Sour Diesel, the NYC Diesel side of this strain comes from a soma seeds NYC Diesel male plant that was used to pollinate a female Sour Diesel. It preforms very well, and catches you by surprise by the rate of growth which is very fast. The smell is fuely, chemically, sour, skunky, diesel, citrus, frooty smell through all stages of growth becoming more evident in flower, im week six flower on this strain and it is very heavy, buds are weighing down my branches (i have to tie them up) it has been super crystally since week 1 flower. No joke.
I trimmed some bottom nodes off the plant at 4 weeks 6 days into flower, to accelerate top growth bud production.(bottom growth was under developed, and and not getting very good light penetration, because my plants are 4 ft tall) but i dried and smoked my bottom trimmings, and under developed buds, and i am amazed how faded these premature nugs get me. I am an experienced grower, and i really cant wait for the harvested final product.

Just read your post. Definitely agree. Doesn't look like the genetics I've had, but there are so many different phenotypes and genotypes of strains that I can't say for certain it's not truly sour diesel. Could be someone who didn't grow it to it's potential. Definitely not a bad looking bud though, don't want to come off like I'm knocking this dudes shit.

it def was a sativa for sure. Idk maybe it wasnt sour d then. but it was a really weird high i just felt like amnesia the whole time. not just from the memory and pot superstition but it felt like i really had no clue what was going on.
