Thanks for the response irieie :-) Those pics were taken last night on day 58 I think... I'll have to double check. 98% of the hairs are a beautiful bright orang and the trichs are mostly cloudy and some amber with just a few clear...

great news for me. everything i read said sour d takes like 10-12 but if you did it in 8-10 thats awesome. i await your harvest pics, curing and smoke report.

Yeh I also read everywhere that Sour D takes atleast 10 weeks to finish but now I'm confused because mine is finishing early. What I have looks like sour d, smells like sour d, and the sample taste like sour d??? must be sour d but it finishes early???

did you flush if so for how long. I am growing this in dwc now and am on day two of flower. Very excited to see the results. Please post cutting drying and curing process It would greatly help my cause as im sure many others as well. Subbed

also what were your ppm levels through out this grow?. and PH?? I am doing hydro so it will be slightly different still im curious..

I brew an organic guano kelp tea I use with every watering except for the last 1.5 - 2 weeks


This is the recipe.

I use tap water and let it bubble for a couple days before I use it. The ph of the tap water is around 8. My soil is a mix of 6 parts FFOF, 2 parts earthworm castings,2 parts perlite, 1 cup of powderizd dol lime per cu foot of soiless mix.

The dry tea mix is,
2/3 cup of
Peruvian seabird guano
Jamaican bat guano
Worm castings
and 5 tbs of maxicrop 1-0-4 powdered kelp extract.
I put this dry mix in pantyhose to act as a "tea bag"

5 tbs blackstrap molasses.
Mix into 5 gallons of dechlorinated water.
I let it brew for 24hrs and then use.

Looks very nice! I just started 3 sour d's a couple weeks ago. After seeing your thread I might do a remake of "attack of the clones".

I have grown sour d about 3 times so i speak from experience with this strain. Most ppl will usualy cut this strain at 60 day. That will give it your neon green covered with trichs and pinkish hairs look. Looks, smells and smokes great. I went ahead and took sour d to another level leaving it for 70-75 days and it was incredible how the buds turned about 75% purple crazy stench as well and awesome high. Of course different highs as well the earlier cut will give you more of a milky with 30% amber more or less trichs. On the other hand your 70-75 day cut will give you more of a amber looking trich. Purple definately will catch ppls eye and its not just some crappy purple buds maybe just flushed with ice water or low temps. This is PURPLE SOUR DIESEL thats what i call it.

Heres some crappy pics of a sour d before harvest at about 70 days. I took her outdoors for the shots. Sorry i couldnt find full plant pics i had. I yielded a little over 4 oz from this one but i kept her small.
