I decided to try this method to compare it with bubble...
Started with 5 oz. of SD; about 90% buds/10% trim.
First run: Shake for 1 min. w/75mn bag; 2.1 grams
Second run: Shake for 30 sec. w/125mn bag; 7.2 grams
Third run: Shake for 1 min. w/125mn bag; 4.6 grams
The second run produced the best hash; Pure blond color and
the texture is almost exactly like the full melt I get from the
75mn bag when making bubble. The product from the 75mn bag
was more brittle and had a golden color using dry ice. Some people
use 160mn or 220mn bags but I think the texture with the 125mn
bag is perfect so I'll stick with this size.
The only issue is it was made from uncured, fresh bud that didn't get a chance
to finish. I don't have a lot of experience with extracts and am curious if curing
hash in a jar from unfinished product would still allow the trichomes to become
psychoactive or if it would just be a waste of time. My guess would be yes, but I
want to see what someone with experience doing this has to say about whether its possible.
