currently have a 2 foot by 6 foot and about 8 feet tall space that is set up for venting, and pully system. Question is im only looking at growing 4 plants or so for personal use and wondering how much lumans i need. if 10000 is the best for flowering than is it possible to use like 6 four foot mixed spectrum tubes instead of a HPS? how far should be plants be spaced apart and will it better to have less space if i use the tubes?

The more lumens the better. Get the hps, it will be better able to penetrate the canopy and give you more lumens per watt. A 400 watt hps will cover a 4x4 area, I use mine for a 3x3 and have 6 plants in there. A 1000 watter will give you some huge nugs, go for it!

Thanks man, for for sure an hps... next thing is... should i be using my space to its full potential or just growing the minimum to maximize growth per plant? How much room should the plant have to grow to Achieve a nice size . Last question for the experts...when you have the lights set up for lumans per square foot, should you be calculating how much light per plant and the space that the plant requires, or the total overall space of square footage you have available for the light to shine on??? and im planning on using the 4 foot fluorescents i already have with a vegetative spectrum for the growth of the vegetative stage. Is it true that the baby plants require ALOT less light or lumans when they are in the vegetative or should i be giving them the maximum. Are the florescents a good idea?
honestly how much smoke do you think i can turn with this little project if I research it properly and do the math right? Guess that was more than the last question haha fuck i need to smoke another one...
Thanks alot guys. I would rather support your knowledge than the 14 year old kids on the street selling grams. good to know someone knows what they are talking about.
