There's not a true socialist country on the planet. Spains issues are due to the greedy bankers fleecing the system just as they did here. Go untamed capitalism.

Spain had a surplus of ~2% of GDP heading into the 2008 financial crisis and held a smaller debt compared to GDP than Germany. My point? Debt isn't the problem. It's the monetary policy combined with harsh Austerity that's effectively destroyed the Spanish economy and hence caused the burden of debt to rise. Blah, blah, blah, etc. etc.
