I have an Og kush strain I clone in rockwool using Olivia's cloning gel to dip with. I then put in the rockwool cube which I let sit in a 6.0 solution with 280 ppm of Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Bloom. Sometime it takes up to 30 days to get roots. Anyone know a more percise way to clone and what it a good ppm.

260 to 300 is a good ppm kush is a slow cloner but dry an ez cloner or a pt cloner workes like areoponics also lower your ph to 5 5.5 and keep the rockwool warm around 70to80f 73 to 75 being ideal smoke on bro:weed::clap::clap::spew:

I have noticed the og kush to be a slow cloner as well, thought it was just me. Usually takes me 10-14 days and I use rapid rooter plugs with powder rooting hormone and Ph about 6.0.

What do you mean sit in a solution? There should be no excess solution for the cube to sit in. All excess fluid should be drained. You only want the rock wool to be moist not constantly saturated with fluids. If the cube is actually setting in standing nutrient your oxygen level will be very low within the cube maning very slow root formation. Thats why misting clones are quick to set roots. Higher O2 levels than in soil or saturated mediums. Intermittant mist or intermittant fog produces even quicker root growth.

I read a manual online that says Water rockwool cubes in solution of 5.0 - 5.5 pH . Foliar spray with Liquid Karma at 1 tsp/Gallon immediately afer cuttings are placed in dome. 5 days later water cubes at 6.0 500ppm bloom. Should i change my ways and do this or still do what I first posted?

Once you have gotten the cubes wet and then drained you can usually get by with nothing more than putting a dome over them. Rock wool holds more than adequate water to go a week or even two if they are in a humid climate. No appreciable water will be taken up until after the roots are formed. Unless you want to use a water carried hormone solution I would do nothting but use the rotting Gel or Powder and water. Rooting Gel is just rooting powder in a gel made from cellulose. Basically, Elmers Paste and rooting powder.

Check on that EZ cloner. Go it. Aero Machine roots are the bomb!!! I also use a homemade DWC system my buddy built me. Just got it so next round I will use it. I put my rooted cuttings in it and compared to the soil...wow. NO MORE SOIL
