speed of node growth question

Ok so heres one for ya's, Is 2 days per new set of leaves the usual growth time at beginning?

Sometimes it grows in bursts. You should top it after your 3rd node man, you'll have a monster plant

When they are that size don't even bother thinking about the speed of growth. That seedling should be spending the next 2 weeks establishing roots not being driven to grow foliage. First come the roots, then the main plant structures and when those are all in place, the real growth spurt will kick in.

I like topping after 5th node cause the first two ain't nothing much I just cut the first two off.
