Well today is
day 61 for my Golden gun SRS (
GG) and Frosted Cherry O's F3 #1 (
FCOF3#1) and
day 55 for the Frosted Cherry O's F3 runt (FCOF3#2) and though the runt is looking awful, she does have some decent flowers that will go to edibles and oil. The other two are doing great. Both cultivars were said to be done at 70 to 75 days, almost spot on for me!
GG has really started to look mature. No dying leaves or real discoloration. I did have 2 buds show near the tips a slight browning, maybe from fan? I moved the fan and so far no other areas seem affected. Her leaves are a nice muted green with very slight blemishes, one of the cleanest grows I have had. Today she received one of her last feeds, as I will feed once more most likely on 3/11 then that is it. I will keep the
autopots on until I shut them down 2-3 days prior to harvest. Her trichomes were checked today and definitely 2 weeks out yet, but I am getting antsy to harvest!
FCOF3#1 is looking good, though sibling to GG she has shown some signs of nutrient issues, nothing major, but noticeble that I backed off some on her, even though same feed provided GG. Basically I just watered it down a bit. She seems to have recovered well since. Her colors are interesting as she looks similar to GG but has some distinct lighter green almost variegated coloring around her bud fan leaves (
was told normal by breeder) Her buds are so tasty looking and sweet smelling. She has several larger colas, I used
a 16.5 oz water bottle next to from bottom of the bud to her tops, so nice fat buds and large! Like GG she received one of her last feeds, one more on 3/11, then same schedule as GG. Very balanced canopy for the most part with a couple of tower buds throughout, similar with GG. Trichomes checked today and similar to GG, so this grow has worked out well on timing.
FCOF3#2 the runt, does not look good, most likely due to the PH issue I had and since she was only in a 2G pot, the LOS just wasn't enough to assist. She is mottled and rusty for the most part bud some of her colas are decently packed, less than half the size of her sisters, but will work for edibles and oil. Her buds do have the same scents as FCOF3#! sweet smelling cherry like and a petrol like after smell finish. Maybe if I am lucky she will yield a full OZ dry. She has hung in there though, so sometimes you just let them grow.
Today they received 1000ml of Organic REV 2 oz, 3g of Sweet Candy and 2 tbls of Grandmas Molasses, mixed into 6.0 phd water 1G. Just keeping the microbes and nutes happily feeding those trichomes. The remaining feed was diluted with an additional 1000ml of phd 6.0 water and will be used on 3/11 for what will be the last feed. The remaining feed was diluted down by half and will be provided on 3/11 for a last meal.
I will shutdown the flow to my
autopots while away or let the reservoir run dry the week of 3/17 (
have to take a business trip and will be gone for 6 days) But the grow schedule these girls provided was ideal. I will only provide enough water to take them through to Tuesday 3/18 evening or Wednesday 3/19 morning while I am gone, which will be 3 days prior to my return. This IMHO will allow the plants to suck whatever water is left in their trays, soil and around the lower roots, and start a slow drying before I harvest on either 3/21 or 3/22.
When I come back I should be trimming out and hanging for a day. Then I am going to attempt a first time run in the
HerbsNow CannaDry and start the dry. To be safe, I am doing half of each plant in this unit and the other half in my
Curearaetor as I call my converted wine fridge. So should be interesting over the next several weeks! This will be the first time I have done a trip and growing with no worries about watering/feeding or maintaining! But looking forward to my return to harvest and the
HerbsNow Dryer.
Here are a few update photos until I decide t post some last minute ones before harvest. Down to the last few weeks!
