Hi All,

God how I hate these little buggers.... Got some clones from one of the clubs here in Cali - not only is it having problems with brittle stems and low yield but it brought along spider mites as well. Thought I got rid of them all (with Safer spray), but a month later they were back with a vengeance.

I released 3000 lady bugs and did another spray but it doesn't seem to be working too well. I've got about 2 weeks left to harvest and the yield is disappointing compared to my last couple harvests. I'm hoping just to break even, but I need this to pull through so these spider mites have to go.

I removed some branches () and a plant that had webs forming, I'd rather lose an oz or two than the whole crop if I can help it. I'm thinking next option is a bug bomb like Dr. Doom. I have 2 4x4 trays going so it has to be effective over a large area.

Any ideas or suggestions? Also, will I have problems with the mites taking over the buds while curing? I would assume they would starve out... but don't want to risk it. I can't wait to be done with this crop so I can nuke my room and start over....

Thanks for any help you can give....
sorry i have to dissagree. you can spry right up to the day of harvest with this without any harm. to taste left in the buds great smoke. if you get the right stuff.

You have to fog in series of 3 to get them. Use 3 cans. Fog day one this gets alot of them but the spider mite when life is threatened lays thier eggs quickly. wait 2 days bomb again and get left overs and new hatchings as the hatch in 2-3 days from laying. then 2-3 days later hit a 3rd time to clean up left overs.then hit with safers miteacide

You can try a combo attack but I have only been able to get rid of them 2 ways. One was the 3 bombs doesnt have to be DOktor Doom can be any pyretium based bomb. i do the 3 bombs and then use the neem based mitecide. The only other way i have gotten rid of them is by using predetor mites and mite destroyers. lady bugs will eta a couple but not a real good mite fighter. You can also add praying mantis egg sack early and have them in before you see them. once you get them at a spot they will always be a fight ever after. My mite encounters laughed at soapy water, peeper water, neem oil dips, and soap sprays.ps the picture is the singer Cassie from BadBoy some of herhacked computer pics I have grabbed. She is fine aint she

yeah the prythium ,I know my spelling suck, Can be used up to the day of harvest as its just a flower extract that chyrsathamums produce to defend against insects.Yeah that was big word but you know.. Lost my avatar apparently I can not use it anymore becuase popel are offeneded by it and I can not reccomend places to buy stuff from right now so no great avatars thanks to some crybabys who are on an adult site and are offended.Bitches lol

Spinosad is the ingredient. They even carry the Green light brand at lowes. Haven't used it yet but it's similar in action to BT, and it's supposed to have very limited toxicity to non-target organisms. The only bad thing I've heard is that it is toxic to bees while still wet from application. after it's dried it's supposed to be harmless to them.

there is hope!
:peace:

will i can get that at $10 for 4 drops that good for a gallon og water. do the math that bottol at that cost is well worth it.:hump:
it would last you forever

Yes that 8 oz bottle Of AVID does 100 gallons of water.....you only need 4 -5 drops of Avid per a 1 quart spray bottle (32 oz spray bottle) of water.

If you only have 2-3 weeks left of flower ...DO NOT.... use the avid get one of these ...You need ATLEAST 6 weeks of flower left to use Avid.

Dont use one of these with less than 1 week left...you want to 1 week of fresh growth .....if you have less than 1 week try the safer soaps every 3-4 days http://www.wormsway.com/detail.asp?sku=DDSK700

Doktor Doom® Spider Mite Knock Out® is a .20% pyrethrin formula. This formula is 19 times stronger in active ingredient pyrethrin than any soap based insecticides and 10 times stronger than any formulations that contain pyrethrin & piperoynl Butoxide. Piperoynl Butoxide is a synergist which enhances the killing power of pyrethrin and it is not approved for organic gardening. Pyrethrin is approved for organic gardening with some restrictions - refer to OMRI (Organic Material Review Institute), for more information.
Unlike soap based products which need to be applied liberally to the plant in order to drown the insects, Doktor Doom® Spider Mite Knock Out® kills the pests on contact with just a light misting on the foliage.
Apply the Doktor Doom® Spider Mite Knock Out® to the underside of the leaves and then fog the room with a Doktor Doom® fogger. The smell of pyrethrin flushes out and eradicates pests on contact.
