Spider mites and lady bugs before harvest

Hello all. I have some plants that have about 3 weeks or so to go until harvest. I have some nice looking buds under 600 hps lights with foxfarm soil. I have been plagued with mites during this grow and used safers spray to keep them at a dull roar. since i am getting close to harvest I dont want to spray anymore but i dont want the mites to take over. I was thinking of getting some lady bugs to keep the mites down but how would I get all the lady bugs off my plants at harvest time? If anyone knows a better way or anyone has anny suggestions i would really appricciate it.

Lady bugs wont help much. Mites are to small, I would try the "no pest" strip.
No pest strips are useless against spidermites, they only work for flying insects.
The ladybugs will certainly help.
I just had a similar problem but the spray I used (Dead Red) killed them all first go.
I couldn't find anywhere in Australia to buy ladybugs but I ordered some PREDATOR MITE PERSIMILUS that are supposed to love feeding on them.:peace:

No no no..I done called the factory on the No Pest strip and they say do not put it in a room with food. If it aint no good to get the fumes on food I sure wouldnt want to smoke no rope which had been exposed to it. Now if you speaking of a sticky type no pest strip where they step on it and become ensnared I could live with that. I suggest you go to WalMart and buy yourself some cheap garden insest spray. Think I gave less than five bucks for a nice sized jug of the stuff. It "Garden Safe" Brand Houseplant and Garden Insect Killer. They say you can use it up to and including the day of harvest for veggies. Now I aint never had an infestation of which I am aware, I am blind in one eye and can't see out of the other, but I spray around the surrounding area just to be on the safe side and dont mind getting a little on the plants. Have flushed out a few spiders using that technique. Best of fortunes to you sir.

I just ordered 1500 Lady Bugs for about $10, first time experiencing spider mites, some say they work well, some say they dont, we'll find out!

Thanks for all the input. I am not really sure what I am going to do yet. My grow room is too hot and need ventilation. I am sure that will help when it is fixed.

A lot of people use No Pest Strips in their grow huts and grow rooms. They work great for getting rid of spider mites and preventing them. I know from personal experience. Sometimes though, they will not work, as with any product.

When you get your ladybugs, make sure to spritz them down with some cola (soda) so there wing stick together and they wont fly away.
