So sorry to hear it--i fucking hate spidermites...they can ruin a crop if not caught and at least controlled right away...

From my experience, once they even get the slightest bit established they can be next to impossible to completely eradicate--short of getting rid of the plants and thoroughly cleaning grow area--which no one ever wants to get rid of otherwise healthy plants...

Anyway, i've battled them off and on--and have lately been using azamax & einstein weekly---though they are still present--they are not infesting or really even affecting my girls --i guess I'm effectively "controlling" them--as in they are not destroying my plants--no webbing etc.

They thrive in the warmest areas (higher branches near lights), but will spread pretty much anywhere they can.. and when spraying be sure to get both sides of leaves and the leaf base where they mostly want to web...They also prefer still air so keep the fans going..and they prefer dry air--so if you are still in veg and can keep humidity a lil higher that may help hinder them--
REMOVE SEVERELY DAMAGED AND INFESTED LEAVES--

I've seen some hardcore miticide (up to about $300 a bottle--that does supposedly actually kill them (instead of inhibit movement, feeding, reproduction) and some stuff on ebay for $20 an oz that supposedly really works as well...can't remember the names off hand but learned about them on here somewhere lol..

good luck with those bastards--don't let them win...

hey...stop screwing with those little commie bastards they will take over your whole damn garden and destroy EVERYTHING...and they will do it fast..you are not going to be able to shoo them away..i had a buddy thats what he tried with them...neem oil all the BS...shoo shoo..you might as well keep your money in your pocket ..just shoo them away like a fly...LOL
AVID..or FLORAMITE. ask for them by name..you can get some from ebay..a few ounces of it is kind of expensive like 40 bucks..but it takes very little and a few ounces will be good for several coatings . with avid you can coat every thing up till two weeks till end of harvest. WASH YOUR PLANTS WELL REGARDLESS AFTER USE.
that will be the end of your mites at least till next time they sneak in...nuke them nuke them now...before they destroy everything..AVID

instead of battling mites, breeders should work on getting the thc level of spider mites up to a respectable smoking level,if you cant beat en join em,im sure bcseeds has something to make spider mites high in thc and smart to boot.

I personally like the alcohol treatment most. I normally mix 40%/60% of Alcohol to RO water and then a wetting agent such as dishwashing soap (non antibacterial) or a wetting agent such as cocowet. What the wetting agent does is lowers the surface tension of water allowing the water molecule to spread out, ensuring you get better coverage. Make sure you let the plant dry out before you put it back under the light or else it will burn the leaf. Never use the alcohol treatment when you are flowering. As you guys know, Alcohol dissolves THC. Do a treatment every 5 days during VEG as well as keep your grow room meticulously clean and you should not have any spidermite problems.

Another treatment that works great also is Neem Oil. Remember to use Einstein brand neem oil because it is cold compressed. Follow the instructions on the bottle and mix with cocowet wetting agent and water. Make sure you spray the topside and underside of the leaves. You should do a water spray the day after to wash off the neem.

If you guys are using soil or soilless mix such as Sunshine mix, try sprinkling some Diatomaceous Earth on the top layer. This is one of the best natural pesticide not too many people have heard about. It is made of the outershells of phytoplanton (unicellular algae). Its composition is mainly silica (90%). Remember to grab the food grade, it should only be 15$ for a 25lb bag. Basically, imagine the Sahara Desert and instead of sand, it is all glass. Any bugs, arthopods, coming into contact will have their outershell pierced and die. In addition to it being a natural pesticide, the silica also helps your plant in thicker branches. Advanced Nutrients has a supplement called Rhinoskin which is basically a silica additive. Hope this helps
