Spider Mites...What can I do?

Sevin dust to prevent, to fight a loosing battle I use 60% rubbing alcohol. Really screws the plants up but you can salvage some cuttings for clones. I use a fine mist to soak the whole plant while hanging upside down to keep any from getting to the roots. Then a strong fan to completely dry the plants. I guess if your unfortunate enough to have this happen during flowering you could sub grain alcohol. Knock on wood ...I have had no problems after keeping a solid border of sevin dust around the plants. NO CATS..... the fastest way to bring in a batch of hitch hiker spider mites is a cat.
I don't know how healthy it is using sevin dust indoors but it is a sacrifice I am willing to take...when I use to germinate my plants in my bed room I even used the stuff all around the baseboards. I had a sore throat but at least my plants were mite free. Don't forget that they are a member of the arachnid family....mom crawls up to a high spot to lay her eggs so the offspring can float in the wind like so much pollen. That means that flying through a screen with an open window is like throwing down a welcome mat...especially if it is July or August.

The Mighty Wash ended up working out amazing. After about a week of using it every day they were completely gone. I have around a month left with the plants then i'll post some pics. The plants themselves don't look the best currently but I think that after they are trimmed and dry you will never be able to tell that their was anything wrong with them.
