Hi. I've been growing indoors in tents for 4 years no bug problems then I brought some bricks from outside to raise some plants and yes stupid I know now. I took small clones started them in another part of the house in a clone dome after washing them and spraying and dipping them in Smite and looking for anything on them for weeks with a loupe. Cleaned all tents with bleach Lysol all in my basement floors too. 2 weeks later I clean everything again then a week later move clones into tent and all looks good then I start to flower. I got them back! the spotted ones (borg)! From every thing I've read they don't live long with nothing to eat? Where they still on the clones or waiting over a month in my basement? Help Thank you!

Also. Desperate? Try dr doom total fogger. Not the cleanest way but it will fuck those cunts up their tiny assholes fog your whole basment. Click the fogger down and leave for a good few hours. Bugs gone

I was always careful not doing that in the warm weather like coming in from yard work and such. Winter I never gave it much thought. Can they live in a garage that's below freezing? I'm finding out what hardy little bastards they are!

Predator mites. Now spider mites are everywhere. Especially along sides of roads in dusty conditions. An entry area is suggested for your grow if you are in spider mite territory.

I just started using tents last year and 2 grows have been fucked up by spider mites. Did a thorough cleaning of every single light, fan, machine, and tool that came out of the tent with an air compressor and 99% alcohol. Reinstalled all the equipment and left lights on for 2 weeks straight while spraying alcohol every 3 days inside/around the tent. I try not to enter the tent at all anymore. If I do I make sure I have clean clothes on and no shoes, bare feet, or socks that haven't touched the floor. Plants have been inside for several weeks now and no signs of mites at all. Fingers crossed this batch will push thru no probs lol.

My guess is you have mites outside the grow that are getting in. I had that problem for a few years, some flowers in my yard were just infested with mites and eventually they'd make their way into the grow. You need to take some proactive/preventative measures. Ie treat with neem every couple of weeks even if you don't seen any signs of mites.

On the subject of UV lights for spider mites. I'm up for all the weapons I can use for these bastards! I am using a CMH in a 4' x 4 tent. Read up on as much as I could find about UV a b c and about cancer and death which is fine for the bugs but not me lol. I'm thinking of lights coming up from the floor to get under the leaves where they hide? I appreciate any info on the subject that would clarify my confusion. I want to say I should of got on here a long time ago! Great info and great people here!

bug spray will cause lots of cancer and death too. if you are running cmh tbose blubs produce uv a b and c. while uv is not good.for us the exposure under grow lights is minimal. (unless your sitting under your lights for hours on end) i wear eye protection to keep my eyes safe thats all
dont need to rub on the spf 100 to go into the grow room
i have seperate fixtures which only produce uv light and ozone a byproduct of the uv light wavelength exciting the oxygen molecules. i dont look at the light and i dont breath the ozone in. put it on a timer for an hour and leave the house for at least a good few hours. when i come home it smells like a fresh forest after a rain. sans bugs and mold. and the o3 dissipates naturally turning back into o2.

I use a home brew ISO or EVERCLEAR ( grain alc ) spray .... shrivels the Borg bastards fast , evaporates quickly .
If I find them in veg , I treat x 3 per day with iso , then rinse / water mist the corpses off. It will breakdown their waxy exteriors and annihilate eggs too. FOR REALLY BAD - Every 2 - 3 days same technique to break egg cycle.

Don’t forget to do a full clean out of your grow area after run. Clean clean clean.

you can also spray neem which is natural and works well just dont do it in later flower and make sure to spray once a week for a good few weeks to make sure any eggs or free range adults dont make their way back and re colonize. i use a product called optic foliar transport which makes the stoma of the leaf open and absorb more from foliar spray. you dont even have to spray under the leaves. if lets say neem is 5ml/ltr water you can use half strength 2.5mls and itll work just as well or better. it also works as a wetting agent.
and also if you hit the mites with it it will suffocate them due to the neem
