Cool thank you. For home made, based on this brand you just mix about 1/2 teaspoon of citric acid into a gallon of water.
Well I only mix a quart at a time and use it all even on floors and walls
Don’t try and store it mixed
1/2 teaspoon

You may want to test it first on a branch and wait for 24hrs to see if it causes any damage, then proceed from there.

Good note i'm pretty bad at math ;) :eyesmoke: also rounded my milliliters into the teaspoon half, more like 2ml so a bit less than 1/2 teaspoon.

I had an infestation last grow. Was busy with a few projects around the house and neglected the garden. Not making that mistake again.

I made a homemade spray with water, H2o2, diluted alcohol and tree tea soap. The tree tea soap really zaps the eggs.

it was a pain in the ass spraying every few days and I’m going to try a Neem oil spray as a deterrent this time. Hopefully it works.

I've been spraying with Neem oil/dish soap mix to deter/kill aphids and thrips and its doing absolutely nothing for my tomatoes and chillis..I can literally come out the next day and there's new eggs and aphids after putting over a cup on each small pepper plant. I've tried two different brands, and pyrethrum mixed with dish soap. No luck at all. None.

I have been put onto spinosad, which I will be trying when I can be bothered to shake this fever and heart inflammation lol. Apparently it's the pinnacle of pest control.

Cool, Thanks. I’ve been thinking of getting into brewing compost teas as well Please update us when you do try.

Hope you feel better soon.

I just had to deal with these a$$holes on a friends grow, pyrethin based products NUKE them in veg, but in flower you're probably not gonna get rid of them, just keep them knocked back. I used Lost Coat Plant Therapy, it's a store bought bottle of citric acid, alcohol, soy oil and a few other things.

The absolute best thing I bought to get rid of them? An electric battery powered sprayer. I was not doing NEARLY a good enough job with a hand pumped sprayer. Mine was about $80 with a battery and charger at harbor freight, I have seen other ones for $40 at Menards/Walmart type stores.

I also bought one with a metal wand so I could put more of a bend at the end of the wand, hold it low and spray upwards since the spider mites only seem to hang out on the bottom of the leaves.

Has anyone tried one of these foggers? I'm thinking of getting one for my out door plants.

Predator mites in flower. Don't give up on them and definitely don't spray. So turn the predator mites loose in numbers.

If I ever get them in flower, this is what I would do, but it can get pricy in the winter since you need to have them shipped next-day FedEx when it's cold out. Citric acid, 2 teaspoons/quart, works like a charm, but it can damage a % of your leaves and I'm sure it would burn pistils in flower. I'd also do a bud wash post harvest to get as many of those filthy little creeps off as possible.

I'll promise you pistils turn brown and stay brown. Been there and done that in early flower.

I used spinosad when I had them once...they were really only attacking one plant in particular. It was a summer grow, very hot, very dry and I just wasn't being diligent enough in caring for my space. After spraying them off, I increased humidity and started opening my tent during lights on to help it cool down a bit more. Thankfully that got rid of them.

I use an airless paint sprayer & alternate green cleaner & low Coast. The paint sprayer keeps the mist fine so they're not drenched. With good air movement & dehumidifier running on high you'll be ok.At wk 3 it's still salvageable.
