i sprayed 1gallon of spinosad (1gal water mixed with 2oz spinosad) over my garden last night just before lights out..i have 18 plants, each one was sprayed thoroughly and the soil was sprayed as well.. when i checked this morning I noticed that the soil was still moving and the bugs were still there.. is this normal? I read somewhere it takes a few days to fully work.. any input? should i spray again, try something else, or just wait a few days and see...?? any help is greatly appreciated, i dont want to lose my garden!

Hey man, sounds like your fighting gnats. It does take time for the spinosad to do its thing, you can re apply the spinosad every 5 days, at least I have and had no problems. Also, have you heard of Bt? I buy the mosquito dunks from the home stores with Bt in it. The Bt comes in little donut shapes and I add that to my watering reservoir. Bt takes time too, stay consistent and re apply, should work great. Also, spraying soil isn't going to cut it, ya gotta drench that shit, gnats are a bitch.

I had a bunch of gnats and ton of this little bugs

water your soil with spinosod nice and good because those bugs live at the bottom to

no pest strips work good to

after I used spinosad that bugs went away, I don't think overnight but eventually

you can use it pretty liberally and late in flower

Yeah water with the spinosad, it destroys the insects nervous system, but takes a little while. Try adding the Bt as well, it destroys the insects digestive system, double whammy! You can use the Bt every watering.

ok so just to be sure, i dont want to kill my plants... tomorrow am when the lights come on im going to water with the usual amount, 1/2gal per plant(3gal buckets) but its going to be mixed with 1/2strength spinosad, and immediately after watering im going to spray the plants with spinosad.. is this safe? overkill? please someone who has used spinosad help me out!

i was thinking half strength for the soil and full strength for the spray, can the roots handle full strength? that's really the only thing I'm worried about..
