Split stalks.

I have a EFP. its 4ft tall not flowering stalk the size of a milk cap. I wanted to put it outside in the spring. The other day a branch breaks, it had a lot of vegetation and weight so I trimmed and lolipopped it I did the whole plant. I tied the branch up and mended it. Today the main stalk was split in half about 4to 5 inches. I have fixed plants in the past and finished them outside some successfully and some with diminished yields. I'm afraid this plant is just going to keep splitting so I might have to take clones and cull the thing. I can still have EFP this year just not a monster EFP. Anyone have any insight on how to prevent this?

From my experience whenever I lollipop the plant becomes more flimsy. If you have stakes holding up the main branches you shouldn't have any splitting tho.

I am pretty hard on my plants. It was 38f an hour ago so I put a heater in my greenhouse. I'm going to check temps right now. If its not climbing I have a long night ahead. brb

I see a sticky thread saying plants can freeze but I can show you what a frozen plant looks like after a week or two. It looks pretty dead except for a couple of branches. I just have high hopes and don't want to get fucked up so I thought I would ask the experts. You know the people in the advanced growing section. I thought this needed some advanced advise. Thanks uncle buck and pinworm. About the split stalk.

48 is fine.

the plant will stop pretty much all of its processes, be set back, and suffer, but it will not die.

a mature plant can take a freeze much better than a new one.

I had six small clones take the last freeze better than the four ft+ plat a couple weeks ago. some of the clones were pure sativa or very close. I don't know, the one that froze was bigger and older hybrid lsd barneys farm. I'm checking temps right now and lowering the thermometer to almost ground level. Brb.

It was 40 in the green house the big heater was out of gas. cant do a fair test I waited too long. I changed the tanks. The freeze is in effect until 8 am. I might be doing a green house evacuation tonight.

Mostly female clones. I have a few seedlings 20 inches and up. I think I will bring them inside. the math isn't adding up I don't think I have enough gas to heat it all night. Maybe I have just enough.
